The MacBook Neo's specs are more "iPad in spirit," to quote Mashable's Stan Schroeder. It starts with half the memory and storage of the MacBook Air, and that RAM isn't upgradable. It also runs on a pared-down iPhone chip. (The 2024 iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max had an A18 Pro chip with one extra GPU core.) Overall, it's much less future-proofed than the Air.

Surprisingly, I didn't document installing the new NRF24 chip. Only after completing the project did I realize I could swap the original chip from the Steam receiver (and decided this was article-worthy). The outcome was identical. Now I possess both a brand-new Steam receiver and a "refurbished" unit using the original chip. Let's assume we're discussing the first swap with the new chip.
