Indeed, I seek alternatives to NixOS with systemd for residential use, hence experimenting with custom system utilities. This task involves migrating a prototype compiler from Raku into statically-linkable compact binaries. After evaluating Ada, experimenting with OCaml and Rust, I ultimately selected RPython. Comprehensive documentation exists elsewhere, but essentially, UTF-8 compatibility presented greater obstacles for Ada and OCaml than anticipated, while Rust retained usability barriers preventing timely delivery.
